Byzantine Hagiography of Saint Calliope.<\/p>\n
Saint Kalliopi was born in the 3rd century in Greece and lived during the period of the persecuted Christian community.<\/p>\n
According to tradition, she refused to worship idols and remained faithful to Christianity. As a result, she was tortured and eventually martyred by dying for her faith.<\/p>\n
The feast of Saint Calliope is celebrated on February 10. It is an example of a saint that symbolizes devotion to faith and resistance against the rejection of Christianity.<\/p>\n
